Jess Bank (pronouns: she/they) is the Program Manager for the Willie L. Brown, Jr. Fellowship Program housed within the School of Public Affairs and Civic Engagement. Jessica, who also goes by Jess, graduated with a Master’s in Public Administration from San Francisco State University during spring 2020. Graduating during the COVID-19 global pandemic, working with underrepresented undergraduate and graduate students, and identifying as a queer, Black femme during the Black Lives Matter movement has affirmed her passion for serving communities marginalized in America.
Prior to her time at San Francisco State, Jess worked with military veterans and high school students while working in the nonprofit sector. When not working, Jess loves to spend time with her family, including her two dogs – Storm and Logan. Jess earned a Bachelor’s of Liberal Studies with a Mathematics concentration from California State University, Northridge in 2010.
