Professor Ernita Joaquin has penned a timely commentary on an alarming phenomenon in public administration in the United States. Seeking to flesh out the meaning of the current administration’s agenda of “deconstruction of the administrative state,” Dr. Joaquin’s paper describes deconstruction’s apparent twin strategies of dis-investment in, and de-legitimization of, vital components of public administration.
