Lead the Future of Aging: New MPA Concentration to Empower Tomorrow’s Changemakers

PACE faculty are redesigning the M.A. in Gerontology Program to become a new Concentration in Aging and Society within the Master of Public Administration (MPA), pending final approval by the CSU Chancellor’s Office.
As part of the MPA curriculum, this Concentration will prepare students to become skilled professionals who understand aging-related issues and the needs of older adults in diverse communities. Graduates will earn an MPA degree with an official notation of the Aging and Society concentration on their transcript. They will be well-prepared to work in public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and cross-sector partnerships, designing policies and programs that support aging populations within their communities.
Interested prospective students should apply to the MPA Program through CalState Apply and indicate their preference for the Aging and Society Concentration by responding to the designated question in the application. For more information about the MPA admissions process, visit the program admissions page and attend an online information session.
