Cristina Flores, Ph.D., R.N. (M.A., ’01, Gerontology) and Professor and Coordinator of Gerontology Darlene Yee-Melichar presented a session on “Expanding Academic-Community Partnerships in Gerontological Graduate Education” at the 2016 Gerontological Society of America Annual Scientific Meeting in New Orleans. At the same conference, Sahana Kiron Magal, M.D. (M.A., ’16, Gerontology) and Yee-Melichar presented on “Raising Awareness of Alzheimer’s among Asian Indian Elderly Immigrants and Their Caregivers,” and Martin Blanco (M.A. student, Gerontology) and Yee-Melichar presented on “OMH Health Equity Fellowship: RHEC IX Elderly Health Disparities Project at SF State Gerontology.”
